September is Wine Celebration month in the Mudgee Region of NSW, a festive and indulgent time of wine and food events. Enjoy Go Grazing, the Mudgee Wine Show, Mudgee Fine Foods Awards and a range of unique winery dinners to meet the colourful local vignerons and enjoy Mudgee at its most delicious and lively time.

With over 50 cellar doors, Mudgee has an array of boutique wines to try, so don't miss Go Grazing on Saturday 26 September. This food and wine matching evening involves around 13 of Mudgee's vineyards and cellar doors going head to head to perfect the marrying of nose and palate with local chefs. Each cellar door presents two wines to taste, their best red and white, with a delicious morsel of finger food. Held at Mudgee Racecourse, Cassilis Road at 6.30pm and tickets cost $55.00 per head.

From 1-27 September highlights include:

* 11-13 September ‘Mudgee Wine Show' - enjoy tastings of over 400 wines including the medal and trophy winners from the 2009 Mudgee Wine Show, held at AREC (2km outside of town)

* 12 September ‘Vine, Swine & Dine Food Affaire' - alfresco progressive dining event at Moothi Estate, Burrundulla Vineyards and Clearview Estate - touring along Mudgee's Eastern Wine Trail

* 13 September to 6 October ‘Art Vine Windows' - a new program featuring the work of over 50 artists on displays at wineries, galleries and various shops and dining establishments. An Art Vine leaflet provides a listing with a walking and driving map

* Other winery events include ‘CO2 with a View' at Robert Stein Winery; ‘Come and Spit on our Floor' at Pieter van Gent Winery; ‘Cuccina di Lusso' dinner at di Lusso Estate and ‘Bubbly Brunch' at Logan Wines
