Mudgee has released the 2017 Food & Drink Trail menu with over 20 venues on the program. The second year of the Mudgee Food & Drink Trail has attracted new producers with the event promising to showcase the best of Mudgee.

The full list of venues and menus can be found at www.mudgeewine.com.au/mudgee-region-food-and-drink-trail/

The range of offerings comprises Valencian paella, homemade chorizo, baby brioche chicken salad, pork belly, bourbon scallops, beef tacos, cocoa panna cotta, honey and walnut crepes, caramel corn with hazelnut praline and more.

To match these dishes, visitors can enjoy Mudgee wine, beer, schnapps, cordials, gin and shrubs. “We are lucky to have such diversity in Mudgee,” said Mudgee Wine Association President, Jess Chrcek.

"Diversity is a key theme of Mudgee. Our winemakers have historically been recognised for their traditional red wines, however riesling, chardonnay and alternate varietals are quickly gaining attention for their quality and regional expression.

“We have seen a number of new industries established recently; beer, spirits and now shrubs are colouring our region. These, along with our wines, are all paired with our locally inspired dishes within the Food & Drink Trail.

“It's an exciting time and we're encouraging visitors to explore, discover and enjoy our secrets."

Date: Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March 2017.
