The Noosa Food and Wine Festival is happening again 16-20 May 2019 and with so many events taking place over the 4 days, we’ve picked our top ten hottest events!
 

1. Noir Noosa on Hastings Street – presented by Moët & Chandon. Saturday 18 May. 6pm. $295.

Celebrate Moët & Chandon Impérial’s 150th Anniversary under the stars and glistening fairy lights of Hastings Street at Noosa Food & Wine Festival’s new signature event, Noir Noosa. In ode to the era of Napoléon, this black-tie Gala Dinner will be a night to remember, as we transform Hastings Street into a glamourous and theatrical dinner celebration.

Tickets will be available by ballot registration on the Festival website in January 2019.

 

2. The Underground Collective. Friday 17 May, 12pm. $249.

A truly intimate and immersive experience of gastronomic discovery, with nationally acclaimed Alla Wolf-Tasker, Scott Pickett and Zeb Gilbert. Nestled in the foothills of a local Noosa farm and focusing on seasonal, small scale producers, this progressive lunch will highlight root vegetables and ingredients from the earth set to be in season.

Curated in collaboration with Wasabi Noosa, Alla, Scott and Zeb will share their love and admiration for great producers both local and across Australia, with plenty of shared feasting and conversations, MC hosted Q&As as well as captivating book readings and stories from the trio.

 

3. Modern Australia. Saturday 18 May, 12pm. $249.

Escape beyond the beaches to the abundant Noosa Hinterland for a truly authentic lunch experience infused with the unique flavours of the Australian bush. Learn from the world’s most ancient culture as you forage and dine with a new wave of modern food pioneers – Harvest Newrybar’s Head Chef Alastair Waddell, Resident Forager and pioneer of the Australian Bushfood industry Peter Hardwick, Jaaning Tree’s Clayton Donovan and your host and MC, Orana’s Jock Zonfrillo.

Drawing on native Australian ingredients and flavours indigenous to the Noosa Hinterland, coupled with local and regional ingredients, diners will first join Peter on a pre-lunch foraging trail learning first hand as to where their lunch flavour originated.

 

4. Dinner with Friends. Saturday 18 May. 7pm. $185.

Join Matt Golinski and close friends Alastair McLeod, Glen Barrett and Manu Feildel, for a 4-course journey celebrating local produce, incredible wine and friendship! Matt, Alastair, Glen and Manu will demonstrate their talents whilst sharing their stories and food passions.

 

5. Club Crusoe. Saturday 18 May 5pm. $195.

For one night only, Rococo Bistro Noosa are bringing a Kakadu meets Cafe del Mar meets isles of the South Pacific beach party to the shores of Laguna Bay. There'll be DJs and live music, dancing, sublime food, plentiful drink and of course, coconuts.

 

6. Makepeace Republic. Friday 17 May, 12pm – 4pm. $275.

Enjoy an afternoon on Makepeace Island where you’ll feast on Greek BBQ dishes, sip on island-inspired drinks and dip your toes in the spectacular Makepeace Island pool (bring your swimsuit and they’ll provide the towel). Includes lunch, drinks, take-home Makepeace Island towel, river transfers.

 

7. Generation X. Thursday 16 May, 7pm. $250.

Three of Australia’s finest young guns, Max Sharrad, Jessi McEwan and John Riviera will collaborate for a unique dining event in Ibento, Wasabi's private dining venue. Witness how they challenge the art of delivery of fine cuisine with their own personal and contemporary style, while maintaining the perfect equilibrium of taste. Hosted by MC Scott Pickett.

 

8. Neil Perry’s Blue Water Grill. Sunday 19 May.11.30am. $250.

The Blue Water Grill – the restaurant that changed how Australians enjoy seafood. Neil Perry rewrote the blueprint for what a seafood restaurant should be with his 1986 restaurant Blue Water Grill in Bondi. Returning to Noosa Food & Wine, he’ll join old friends Katrina Ryan, Peter Kuruvita and Andy Davies at Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita, showcasing a retrospective of the restaurant's greatest dishes with matched wines.

 

9. Female Talent of our Time. Sunday 19 May, 12pm. $145.

WoHo, Australia’s not for profit association which supports Women in Hospitality, is proud to bring you WoHo – Female Talent of our Time. Join us for lunch with matched wines by some of Australia’s leading Women in Hospitality. Enjoy a 4-course menu by Chefs Christine Manfield, Imogen Czulowski and Alanna Sapwell. This unique event will take place at the award-winning restaurant, Wasabi.

 

10. Wairau River Winery at Season Restaurant. 12pm. $150.

Begin your Festival weekend with an amazing Asian inspired Seafood Lunch sipping on limited edition and cellar door Wairau River Wines. Phil and Sam Rose from Wairau River Winery are not just bringing boutique wines to Noosa but their amazing chef as well.

Tane Malcolm will join Andrew Tomlin in the Season kitchen to share their love of seafood and local produce direct to your plate, creating a 4-course lunch menu with matched wines.
