Craigie Knowe Vineyard was established in 1979 by then Hobart dentist John Austwick. John lovingly planted the vines across 5ha making his wine on site until he made the difficult decision to sell his beloved vineyard in 2009.

The new owner extensively renovated the vineyard, installing frost protection and renewing the trellis system. The beautiful 1830's cottage was also renovated. Only two vintages were produced leaving the vines unattended during 2011 and 2012.

Glenn and Sandy Travers purchased the vineyard in 2013, and like John, love Craigie with the same passion and enthusiasm John had...his legacy continues.

Along with their son Alex, they have worked hard to bring the vineyard back to health and vitality and with the wine now made off site, they can concentrate on nurturing the vines to bring you the best wine possible.

Glenn and Sandy are proud and excited to finally be presenting their gorgeous wines and look forward to sharing them with you soon.

Craigie Knowe is open for tastings Friday - Monday 10am to 4pm and other times by appointment. Vineyard tours and lunch platters are also available with 24 hours notice.
