Veggie Burgers Every Which Way is a fantastic alternative to regular cookbooks, taking you on a food journey that shows varying ways to prepare one of the most loved and common staples of a vegetarian diet: the veggie burger.

Veggie Burgers Every Which Way is a nice sized and conveniently laid out cookbook with lots of useful hints and tips along the way. It explains how to make and toast breadcrumbs through to cooking beans and boiling rice – the elements necessary in the creation of the burgers. It also points out what is gluten free and which recipes are suitable, or can be altered, for vegans.

The recipes themselves are laid out nicely, being easy to understand. Each gives a little summary of particulars of the dish and then, in a straightforward manner, ingredients and the recipe are given. Estimated prep and cook times are also included.

Regardless of whether you are vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater, if you like cooking and are partial to burgers this is the book for you. It encourages trying something a little bit different with a classic dish. The photos of burgers throughout the book make each burger seem tantalising and it is a cookbook that will be made use of again and again. It is also a conveniently portable size, so pop it in your handbag or backpack, take it around to a friend’s and cook veggie burgers for dinner in an effort to avoid the two minute plastic microwave burgers from the supermarket.
