In 2005 Ukrainian twin brothers and master cheese-makers, Andriy and Taras Kogut embarked upon a new venture and set up a small cheesery in the midst of an industrial estate on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Inspired by the region’s stunning views across Port Phillip Bay, they named their fledgling company, Blue Bay Cheese.

Ten years on, Blue Bay Cheese and the Kogut family are firmly woven into the fabric of the Mornington Peninsula community.

Their milk is sourced from a number of local producers and their range of preservative-free cheeses are widely available across the region at delis, farmers markets and more recently at select Coles stores.

You can still purchase direct from their small shopfront in the Mornington industrial estate. These days however it is almost overflowing with  their ever expanding range of cheeses, deli items and Andriy’s good cheer, so to meet growing demand the family have opened a second store in Frankston.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Kogut family on all their hard work over the past ten years, and look forward to many years of fabulous cheeses to come.

Some of their cheeses can also be purchased by phone order and posted interstate. To enquire contact them here, and say hi from us, you might even enjoy a discount!
