Elfred's of Red Hill pickled cherries - 335 g. Red Hill cherries from the Mornington Peninsula are picked at optimal ripeness and picked in spiced vinegar according to the traditional French recipe, Cerises a l'Aigre-Doux. The flavour matures over time. These cherries can be eaten alone, on the cheeseboard, or cooked in sauces to serve with duck, goose, game or other rich meats, whilst the vinegar can be used in dressings, drizzled on oysters, or to add richness and cut fattiness in the accompanying duck or game sauce. A fabulous product which definitely won't become a 'back of pantry' item. Yum!

Also by Elfred's  their Onion and Merlot Marmalade - 380g. Made with brown onions, merlot from Marinda Park Vineyard (Myers Rd, Balnarring) and flavoured with cumin, pepper and other spices, this is another item to which you could become addicted! Serve simply with a steak, lamb or sausages, on a cheese platter, or in onion tartlets for canapes or make a Caramelised Onion Tart for a main course with salad.

Cazan's lime and date chutney - 335 g. An unusual and delicious chutney, especially for the lime-lover; great with cold meats or as an accompaniment to bbq prawns or curries, too.

Cazan's raspberry conserve - 325 g. Another home-made product which captures the pure essence of summer flavour from the Mornington Peninsula. Raspberry lovers will delight in this conserve.

Geppetto dukkah - 100g. Hand-made by Margaret at Crittenden Wines, 25 Harrison's Rd, Dromana 3936 on the Mornington Peninsula, and contains a lively mix of ground almonds, sesame seeds, coriander and cumin seeds and other spices. Put sparkle into your rice, lamb and other Middle Eastern dishes, even sprinkle on a salad or use as a dip with olive oil.

Red Hill Mud chocolate sauce - 115 g. A thick, creamy and delicious chocolate sauce to satisfy your chocolate cravings - great on ice cream, profiteroles, fruit and especially for dipping strawberries into! Or eat straight from the jar with a spoon. Yum. (Keep away from your children if you want any yourself!)

Sue's Brew Brain Booster organic herbal tea - 50 g. A fragrant, gently stimulating and totally organic blend of Rosemary, Ginger, Lemon Balm, Nettle and Skullcap (which tastes much better then it sounds!). In Sue's words: " An ideal way to decrease stress and tension and to improve mood. It may increase concentration and revitalise the body. Being rich in antioxidants, many of the herbs are thought to slow the aging process." Nettle is also reputedly good for men's health issues. Loose leaf in an environmentally friendly pack.

The hamper also includes a free food map of the Mornington Peninsula produced by MP Gourmet.
