La Petanque is a simple bowls game similar to Bocce that started 90 years ago at La Ciotat in Southern France. Now it gives its name to a restaurant, specialising in South of France cuisine in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria (formerly Villa Primavera).
La Petanque Restaurant was awarded Best Regional Wine List of the year in 2009 by the Gourmet Traveller and Award for Excellence Best European Restaurant for the Mornington Peninsula Regional Awards for Excellence.
Open for lunch seven days and dinner Friday and Saturday evenings, with extended hours over Summer, La Petanque is fast becoming a 'must -dine experience' when visiting the Mornington Peninsula.
