Leeuwin Estate is thrilled to present an intimate dinner with guest speakers, Skye Gyngell and Monica Galetti accompanied by a five course dinner prepared by the Leeuwin team under Head Chef, Dan Gedge and paired with acclaimed 'Art Series' wines.
Multi award winning Australian born chef and author, Skye Gyngell, trained in Paris before moving to London, working at The French House and The Dorchester with Anton Mossiman, and setting up the Petersham Nurseries Cafe. Having contributed to Vogue and been the Independent on Sunday’s food writer for five years, Skye is the author of four books, including 'Spring', a collection of seasonal recipes and a fascinating insight into the 2014 opening of her much-anticipated London restaurant, 'Spring', in Somerset House. Born in Samoa and brought up in New Zealand, Monica Galetti, moved to London in 1999 to work alongside Michel Roux Jnr at Le Gavroche. She became a household name in the UK in 2008 when she joined the BBC2 team as a judge on 'Masterchef: The Professionals'. She is the author of two books and opened her London restaurant, Mere, in 2017 alongside her sommelier husband David Galetti. English born chef, Dan Gedge, launched his career in 2000 with the Rick Stein group, where he worked for seven years before moving to the position of Head Chef at Custard Dining Rooms, which was recognised in the Michelin Guide and awarded AA Rosettes. Dan’s travels lead him to the South West in 2011 and he joined Leeuwin Estate as Head Chef in April 2018. With a passion for the region and working with premium local suppliers, Dan continues the Leeuwin Estate food philosophy of combining exceptional seasonal West Australian produce with the Estate’s wines.
